A Clive Palmer -owned company's plan to build an open-cut coalmine 10km from the coast of the Great Barrier Reef has been deemed “not suitable” by the Queensland government with its assessment now being sent to the federal environment minister.

 The federal environment minister, Sussan Ley, should now follow Queensland’s lead and reject the mine.

Say no to the Clive Palmer - owned Central Queensland Coal Project by the Reef

The Clive - Palmer Owned Central Queensland Coal Project plan to build an open-cut coal mine 10km from the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area has been deemed “not suitable” by the Queensland government with its assessment now being sent to the federal environment minister.

We are asking Dawson MP George Christensen to urge his Government to reject the project, and asking federal environment minister, Sussan Ley to follow Queensland’s lead and reject the mine.
